Preparation H

Preparation H ointment is manufactured by the pharmaceutical giant Wyeth. It is available world wide. Probably it is available in every pharmacy.

It can be used for both internal hemorrhoids and for  external hemorrhoids.

Its uses are for the following:

* It helps with the relief of anus itching general discomforts associated with hemorrhoids.

* It helps to temporarily shrink the hemorrhoid tissue and thus relieves with burning.

* It helps to temporarily provide a coating on the hemorrhoids thus relieving of anorectal discomforts.

* It helps to temporarily protect the inflamed and irritated anorectal area thus helping to reduce  the pain associated with the bowel evacuation.

Preparation H Hemorrhoidal Ointment

The active ingredients contained in this ointment are:

As you can see from the formula above. The fact that it contains three protectants and one vasconstrictor is an excellent formula to help with getting rid of a simple case of hemorrhoids.

You have three different ingredients helping to protect the area from any further deterioration, or irritation. While the area is well protected, you have another ingredient helping to cure the existing damage.

Please don't forget the ointment is not enough to get rid of hemorrhoids.

You will also need to combine this with the natural treatments.

This Prep H to work and get rid of your hemorrhoids, will also depend a lot on what type of hemorrhoids you have got and most importantly at what stage are your hemorrhoids.

If they are at the beginning stage, in other words first degree hemorrhoids, then Prep H  should get rid of your hemorrhoids.

But if your hemorrhoids are already at stage two or more, then you will probably need a different ointment.
